  • Is an evaluation required to begin therapy?
Yes. To better support your child’s needs, all new clients are required to participate in an evaluation prior to treatment unless an evaluation has occurred in the last six months in the areas of concern by a certified speech-language pathologist. We can review it to see if any further information is required.
  • Where will services be provided?
Our evaluations and therapy services are offered in-person in the Lake Nona and Orlando areas. Currently, we come to you and provide therapy in the convenience of your child’s home, daycare, or preschool. Once you complete our Contact Form, we will reach out to schedule a date and time that is most convenient for your family.
  • What forms of payment are accepted for evaluations/speech therapy?
You will set up an account through Simple Practice to complete payments. All major debit/credit cards are accepted. HSA (health savings accounts) and FSA (flexible spending accounts) can also be used. The card on file will be billed through the secure client portal, and you will receive an electronic invoice as receipt of payment. We are a Step Up for Students provider. Please contact us to get current pricing information.
  • Do you accept insurance?
We currently do not accept insurance, however, we are working to get in-network with several plans. However, we accept Step Up for Students. You may request a superbill, which can be submitted to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please note that payment is due at the time of service.
  • Why Bilingual Speech-Language Therapy is important?
Having bilingual speech-language therapy is crucial for addressing the unique needs of children who speak more than one language. By conducting a thorough language evaluation, we can determine whether your child's language challenges are due to a "language difference" related to their cultural and linguistic background or a "language disorder" that requires specialized intervention.
  • What ages do you work with?
Voz Therapy Services provides speech therapy to children ages 6 months-10 yrs. Children older than 10 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • How long are speech-language therapy sessions?
Typically, speech-language therapy sessions last between 30 and 60 minutes. Length and frequency will be determined after the completion of a formal evaluation.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
While Voz Therapy Services understands that illnesses and emergencies occur, we respectfully request that you avoid frequent cancellations or “no shows.” In most cases, require 24-hour notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Please refer to our cancellation policy in your intake paperwork for additional information.
  • My child isn’t speaking yet. Should we “wait and see”?
We do not recommend a "wait and see" approach. Research shows that early intervention is crucial for addressing language delays effectively. At VOZ Therapy Services, we believe in stepping in early to provide support for both the child and the family.
